My First Venture

Visit Streethut

Streethut is a customized apparel and lifestyle product store that I started in 2020. As my first venture, I didn’t know many skills and practices required to run a business. Streethut acted as a learning path in my life and helped me acquire various skills through which I can not only run a business but also help myself in my branding.

I started by figuring out what Niche I wanted to get into. Exploring multiple niches and domains, I was finally happy with a ‘customized apparel’ store that makes people feel special and unique.

Shortly afterward, I started Designing the logo, and the business model, finalizing my vendors, developing my website, and setting up the social media account. While it took a lot of time, I knew the returns would be fruitful.

It wasn’t long before I got my first sale and it made the journey worth it. Today, if it weren’t for Streethut, I wouldn’t have been exposed to the such creative side of myself.

Branding & Marketing

Every turn in my ‘first venture’ led me to learn new things and work on them. As I started developing my website, it occurred to me that I need to learn to brand and market my website to get the maximum reach and returns. I learned graphic designing and the basics of advertising through various books and tutorials. Streethut’s branding is quite simple and flashy, which keeps up with the latest graphic trends to catch on to people’s minds.

Graphic Designing

Designing was one Major role in Streethut. From Designing creatives for Social Media to printing out flyers and banners, to designing the actual prints that would go on Apparel and Lifestyle Products, was a hectic task. As I was the only one behind Streethut in the beginning, I had to manage my time and resources to get every task executed. I learned Photoshop and Other designing tools to help me sketch out these designs.

As time flew by, I started to get my hands around Designing and Graphics much faster and more efficiently.  Graphic Design now helps me in various fields and purposes – Designing Cards, Branding materials, Posters, etc.

Shopify

Streethut was initially developed on Shopify – a store management and E-commerce sales platform. As I didn’t have prior knowledge of developing a website, Shopify helped me understand the fundamentals of running an E-commerce store. I could manage all the products, displays, and inventory and also learn about offers, fulfillment, and marketing via Shopify as it has all those features integrated.

All these efforts led me to master and learn more about Shopify. I can now build Independent E-commerce stores on Shopify within a week from scratch.
